It seems the date of the wedding was two short weeks away and little sister has four, count’em FOUR furry bundles of joy! No way I could possibly get four paintings done in two weeks.  So we came up with a plan.  At first, I was just going to do sketches.  The sketches would be presented with the promise of the completed paintings at a later date.  I was ok with that….but what if I could at least get one of the portraits done.  That would make for a much nicer presentation…..at least they would know what to expect.  Still…only two weeks….a challenge.  My weeks are pretty full already……and I’m a pretty s-l-o-w painter.  None the less….challenge accepted!  Damn the torpedos….full speed ahead. Kourtney (my daughter-in-law) and I decided 4 small 8 inch by 8 inch portraits would be the way to go.  Next on the agenda…..reference photos from which to work.  This is a top secret project…..can’t just ask for photos…suspicion would abound!  Instagram to our rescue….oh and I now have an instagram account….LOL! Here’s what we found….
