A new beginning….

My husband and I have made a big decision. It is a bittersweet one. We have been ‘on the road’ living full time in our fifth wheel for the past 13 years. We love it, but we have made the decision that it is time for us to come off the road and find a house. That doesn’t mean our travels have come to an end. We still have lots we want to see and do, but we just will not be pulling our home behind us.

Many factors went into this decision. Our age and our health is one. We both had some pretty big health scares this past year and we feel we definitely need a home ‘medical’ base. Sure, we probably could have figured something out, but we also feel the need to be closer to family as well. That is really the biggest factor for both of us…..family!

Where you ask? Apollo Beach, Florida. My parents are only about 30 minutes away and the Tampa airport will fly me to my son and daughter-in-law’s house and let’s not forget those grand babies…. in about 2 1/2 hrs. Most of my family is located somewhere on the east side of the states….from Indiana to Michigan to North Carolina to Virgina. All within easy reach!

The house we are buying is new construction and has 4 bedrooms. Ha! I’ve never had 4 bedrooms in my life. Bill gets a den, I get an artist studio, we still have our master bedroom and a guest room for family and friends to come and visit. We are set to close on September 30th….as long as the bank continues to go along with the idea…lol! I’ll share more with you on the blog as our newest adventure begins….
