I made a decision. I’m going to offer both acrylic and watercolor for my online classes. I have a tentative start date of March 1st. I want to make sure I have several videos ready to go as well as give myself some time to market the classes. The first class will probably be somewhere between 4 to 6 weeks and cover the basics and FREE! You may sign up for either watercolor or acrylic or both! I’ll have more details and a place where you can sign up for the classes coming by the end of January!
In the meantime…..I have started another pet portrait. This is Rosie! She is the sweetest little ‘rescue’ puppy that was adopted here in the RV park. Just have a look at that face………
and….OH MY! She is all puppy…so full of mischief!
Here she is on my painting surface….which is a 12″x12″ baltic birch wood panel with about a 1 1/2″ cradle. I sanded the panel smooth and then applied two coats of gesso….sanding between each coat. Next I applied my sketch to the surface using wax free transfer paper.
Just getting started here….applying some washes of acrylic color. The fun is just beginning!
Oh. My. Goodness. I want to take your class, but I am going away for most of February. I want to know about the next time you offer watercolor. Seriously. Put me on your mailing list! 🙂
Hi Stacy….I will certainly put you on my list, but my first class will not be starting until March so maybe you can join up with us when you are back from your trip. Since this is a free class that will cover the basics you can join in at anytime….You can work at your own pace and you will have access to me through email…..think about it. If you want to give it a try, just let me know. Once you are back and ready to go I’ll send you the link for the first lesson!
How fun about your classes Debbie! And that Rosie – what a sweetie pie! How lucky you get to hang out with her, and how lucky she is to have her portrait painted by you! I always love seeing your works in progress and look forward to seeing more.
Thanks Deborah. Rosie is indeed a special little pup and so lucky to have found a wonderful forever home!
So excited to hear about your classes, congrats!! Can’t wait to see them.
Thanks Sue…..a big and somewhat scary step for me. I have thought about it for awhile and since I’m now teaching here at the rv park it seemed the timing was right for me to jump into e-courses!
I can’t wait to see the finished product – that is a cute little puppy!
She is and so full of puppy personality! Thanks for stopping by Vickie!
How splendid. The fun is just beginning. Wondering if the water color classes are appropriate for a raw beginner.
Yes Kelly…..We will be starting at the very beginning with all the basics!
