The past week has been very busy indeed.  My son and my daughter (in-law) just purchased their very first home.  They had been renting our ‘stick and brick’ home.  So we spent the past week helping them paint and ready the new home for their move in over the past weekend.  Now that they are all moved in, we will be preparing our ‘stick and brick’ home for the market……aargh….more painting is in our future!

I did manage between painting walls to paint a bit at my easel as well.  Here is the finished portrait of Pip.

Finished portrait of Pip
Pip

I have never met Pip….in person, that is….but I feel like I know him so well.  He has such a sweet personality shining through those eyes!

I had some questions last time about my videoing process and equipment.  So, I’ve put together a little bit of info on a new page I’ve added here to my web site…..find it here

Question and Comments are always welcome!

    1. Thank you Nancy! Yes, I spend a lot of time on the eyes. “The eyes are the windows to your soul.” William Shakespeare had it exactly right!

You’re so talented. Pip is extremely gorgeous and those eyes. Love them. Soooo cute and sooo real. You’re certainly blessed to be able to sketch this way.

  5. You’ve certainly captured Pip’s personality in this lovely painting, Debbie. Good luck with the house sale. At least part of the prep doesn’t requiring moving all your stuff out. Enjoy.

  6. He looks so very content lounging on the comfy cushion with one ear cocked. Such a splendid job, Debbie. I’ll bet his human will be thrilled. Sending you best wishes for a speedy paint, spruce up and sale of your home so that you can get back to more canvas painting.
