Without judgment….what a concept
After 40+yrs of painting, I’m finally learning to let go and just create.
Painting intuitively is allowing yourself Grace. The Grace to just create, stop doubting
If it’s right or wrong
If it’s ugly or beautiful
Instead…..Listen closely to that inner voice.
Just create.
It’s not easy, that inner critic will be screaming at you at times. Push through. Focus on what feels right. Focus on what makes you smile.
I’m going to be starting an art journal in the spring. Why spring, why not now?
For me, Winter is a time to rest and reflect. Spring is the awakening, rebirth. Starting a new creative path is kinda of like being reborn.
As I was exploring my new creative path, I made these little 4×4 works of art. I was just following my intuition and listening to my inner voice. I had no idea of the ‘sweet story’ which was unfolding before me.
It’s starts with, ‘Hello sweet one.”
“make a cozy nest” (rest and reflect)
“thoughts that whisper to my heart” (listen to your inner voice)
“beyond the purple skies” (look deep, reach beyond)
“and let it fly away” (break free of your self imposted constraints and follow your heart)
“a sweet story” (the unfolding story)
I think that’s pretty amazing.
I love to teach and to share. Which is why I would love to share my journey with you all. I’m not sure just yet how I’ll accomplish this, but it will come. I just need to listen to my heart.
