I had my left knee replaced with an artifical joint on July 22 and it has been quite the journey!

The surgery went well and I’m healing well!

The ‘journey’ relates to physical therapy.  The knee is stiff and swollen for months.  Physical Therapy aids in keeping the joint moving so scar tissue doesn’t form and also to increase your range of motion.

Bending the knee, straightening the knee is painful.  It takes a lot of effort and a mindset to push through the pain to achieve results.

I ice and elevate regularly and also wear a compression stocking for swelling.

I am eager to get back to my easel.  I think I will be able to get there soon.  I appreciate your patience and understanding during this long recovery period.
