The past week has been a doozie!  It’s been fun, lots of Halloween parties and I LOVE Halloween.  October is also my birthday month.  I turned 65 and signed up for Medicare…that was fun….LOL….NOT!

I decided to give the living, dining, and kitchen areas a fresh coat of paint and we also finally had our trim guys show up and install crown molding.  It turned out great!  I have now decided that the trim and doors need a fresh coat of paint as well….funny how that works. One thing always leads to another.

I did….just barely…get my Halloween painting of the Raven done.  He was so much fun and I learned a lot experimenting with lost and found edges as well as negative space.  I do plan on doing another painting with Raven’s on a larger scale.

The Raven

I also started the Tiger painting, which I do plan to release as a new course after Thanksgiving. I’ve blocked everything in and I’m pretty happy with the eyes. Now comes the task of all that fur! Creating can be a pretty ugly endeavor at times. You have to stick it out and keep going! I have found working in small sections helps with that process. It lets me know I am on the right track and that eventually it will all come together.

Work in Progress

As to the acrylic workshop which I mentioned last time, I’ve had to put that on hold until after the holidays.  I realized I have a lot of information to share and I want to make sure I have it all put together in a way that is easy to understand and be used as a reference. I’m going to include a pdf with the video segments. At any rate, it is taking more time than anticipated.

Finally, in just a few days, I head to Michigan for a week to look after my grands while their parents head off for a little working vacation.

When I get back….Thanksgiving is right around the corner.

To that end….You may not see or hear much from me until after Thanksgiving week.

Be safe, be happy, and most of all be creative!
