North Ranch is a beautiful little rv park located in Congress, AZ about 10 minutes from Wickenburg.  I do so love this place, so much so, that hubby and I are seriously thinking of buying land here.  One day we will need to ‘set down’ roots once again and the little town of Congress may just be the right place.  It is has a great little artistic community that is just beginning to blossom and the surrounding country has plenty to offer in the way of inspiration….

Miss Megabyte

That is Miss Megabyte a purrfectly beautiful kitty.  She is very special girl, who came to her human mama and papa in a very special way.  A story I’ll share with you one day, but just know she is a true “angel” kitty sent from above.  Yes….she is destined for my easel.

As you can see my life is full these days….puppy and kitty portraits to paint…and so much beauty right out my front door.  Today we are in Camp Verde, AZ.  We are going to check out a little town called Jerome.  I wonder what it has in store for us on this heaven sent day!

  2. Your photos are truly evocative. That bunny could be Bonanza, our lovely rabbit who is currently enjoying the grass in the sunny backyard. Except that she has much smaller ears. But they are identical in colour. And of course, you’ve piqued by interest in the Miss Megabyte story. Am looking forward to reading about that one. I’d close with a genuine “Enjoy your travels” but I don’t think you need to hear that in order to do so.

  3. Oh what fabulous photos Debbie! How fun you get to travel and taste bits of here and there. And I can’t wait to hear Ms. Megabytes story and see her portrait one day.

  4. I love that you’re so excited about Congress — but I have to admit, there’s a part of me that would love to see you settle here in Oregon. Then again, I don’t think you guys will ever settle, not while the wide open roads call your name.

I love that pic of the young jackrabbit — and I just adore Miss Megabyte! What a sweetie. Can’t wait to hear her story, and to see her portrait fresh from your easel. 🙂

    1. Thank you Harmony! We have not made it up to Oregon as of yet….had hoped to this summer. Unfortunately family called and we needed to return to Indiana earlier then expected, but it is definitely on the list for next summer! I’m not sure ‘when’ we will settle….you are right the open road is still calling my name…LOL!
I was so surprised to see that young Jack…and to have he/she pose for me….awesome!
Somehow I knew you would adore Miss Megabyte……she is special in so many ways!

  5. Sooooooo envious. Arizona is my home state and I miss it so much. Jerome! Many great weekends spent there. When you go if you enter Jerome from the north there is a large studio on the left just before you come into town. Robin Anderson is the artist. He is incredible. You will enjoy your visit if you stop. I think your email notice comes a day or two later than you publish so may have already gone to Jerome. If that is the case, hope you enjoyed your visit. So much history in that old mining town. Enjoy Az. So wish I were there too.
    Cheers!
    Debbie

    1. Yes Debbie…..we had already been to Jerome when I read your comment. We will go back and I’ll be sure to check out Robin Anderson! We had a lovely meal there and really enjoyed all the history

  6. I have heard that if you are going for trailer park life, you absolutely must buy the land under your not-so-mobile home, either individually or through a homeowner association. A lot of the older ones get sold out from under the residents who are then forced to move.

    1. That is very true and in North Ranch you do own the land you sit on! We will not even consider those parks that only offer a leased land.
