I’m Lucy! My mom does great pet portraits!

Thank you, Lucy! Such a sweet girl.

My Lucy….have you ever seen a more adorable face? I bet you have. If you are looking at this page, I’m betting you have an adorable face looking up at you right this very minute! Or at least somewhere close by.

Painting an animal is always a magical experience for me, but even more so when that animal is someone’s pet.  When an animal is loved and cared for, it comes across in every aspect of their being.

There is a light in their eyes and in their spirit that is undeniable.  Being given the opportunity to capture that in a painting is very special indeed.

Ready to make your Dreams come true

Our pets are so special. They bring joy, laughter, and unconditional love into our lives and ask for very little in return. They are a part of the family. So it’s no small wonder that so many choose to commission a portrait of their pet(s).

It’s an exciting process and I’m here to guide you through and offer suggestions to make your portrait the very best it can be. I have years of experience and I use the very best of materials so that your portrait will last a lifetime.

I work from photos. Please have a look at my Photography Tips to get an idea of what I’m looking for in a photo. I do realize that sometimes those old family photos are all we have and that’s ok too. If you live locally, I’m also happy to set up a photoshoot.

It all starts with a conversation

How much will it cost?

I could give you some fancy chart listing prices by size, but honestly it’s just not that simple. So many elements go into the pricing of a portrait.

  • Yes, size is one
  • Type of background (simple or complex)
  • Are we doing just the head, head and shoulders, whole body?
  • Oils or Acrylics

This is Pickle. Oh that face!

Pickle’s portrait is 8 inches by 8 inches. Done in acrylics. The background is very simple and even though his feet are present I would consider this a head portrait.

The Price would be $300

Nuchi’s Mom and Dad, Vicky and Chris

Debbie:
We received the portrait today. When Chris took the packaging off and we looked at the real thing…..it literally took our breath away!  We couldn’t stop staring at it – we put it down to take a picture with “the real” Nuchi and he almost  barked at it – it looks that real!!  We’re in awe of your amazing talent – how on earth do you make them come to life?  Some people can never understand the love you have for your 4 legged kids….and what it means to have them around you – the portrait is so special for us because Nuchi is so special to us. Thank you again for doing this for us!!

Buster’s Mom, Fran.

I can’t hardly wait to see the portrait and you and Bill. Debbie, your work is absolutely fabulous. I’m so thrilled we met and I commissioned you for this adorable little guy. He truly is my best friend!

Pip’s Grandmom, Peggy

Oh Debbie the portrait of Pippi is fabulous. You captured the very essence of Mr P, from the twinkle in his eyes to the way he crosses his front legs. You are so talented OMG, and to think I took classes from this brilliant women. What an honor. I will bow down to the MASTER❗ Those classes were so much fun, if you can’t tell, I’m smiling. Thank you so very much.

What is it about your pet that you would love to see captured in a painting.

READY TO

Make your dream come true

Having a portrait of your pet is an incredible experience as you can see from the testimonials above. Most folks shed a few tears of happiness upon seeing their pet portrait for the first time. Happiness in knowing their fur baby will forever have a place not only in their hearts but also lovingly displayed in their home.

It’s sad, but our furry babies won’t be with us forever. Don’t let the opportunity pass you by. But even if your furry baby has passed over to the rainbow bridge, you can still make those memories come alive through a highly detailed painting.

Allow me have the honor of creating a treasured keepsake. A beautiful reminder of all those loving memories you hold in your heart.

It all starts with a conversation. No obligations, no worries, let’s just chat.

Tell me a little about your pet. What makes him or her so special? The way those eyes light up when you walk in the room, that adorable head tilt, or maybe there’s that one ‘look’ that says it all.
